Abstracts are invited for the Australasian Cardiovascular Nursing College 2018 Conference to be held from the 9-10 March at the Mercure Sydney.

The ACNC 2018 Conference will provide a platform for discussion of the key issues and challenges facing the industry. ACNC is committed to supporting the development of nursing practice, education and research in the Australasian region.

The Conference Committee are thrilled to invite you to take part in the discussion as we look to the future of advancing cardiovascular healthcare.

We welcome abstracts for oral and/or poster presentations reporting the findings of your research projects, clinical case studies or evaluation of a clinical service.

  • Abstracts must be submitted online through “Currinda,” an online database management website.

  • Authors will be asked to create a profile on Currinda. This profile will then serve as a registration profile for the Conference and any other event or membership association using the Currinda database software.

  • You must select the “ACNC 2018” Conference.

  • You can submit multiple abstracts, one after the other.

  • A “bio,” a brief introduction to the presenter or a short biography of the person who will be presenting the abstract at the conference, must be submitted on behalf of the abstract presenter.

  • Whilst you can come back to your submission at any time, once you have finished entering all details, please ensure you proceed all the way to the end to COMPLETE your submission.

  • An automatic acknowledgement email will be sent once your abstract submission is complete.

  • Abstract submission closes Friday, 27 October 2017.

  • Presenters whose abstracts have been accepted must register for the conference and pay a registration fee.

  • The Conference Secretariat will notify all abstract submitters of acceptance via email by Friday, 17 November 2017.

  • Amendments can be made to your abstract until the submission deadline. Simply log into your Currinda profile, select the abstract to amend and navigate through the top tabs to the sections you wish to change.

  • All emails regarding abstracts will be sent automatically to the submitting author. If the submitting author is not the presenting author, it is his/her responsibility to pass on all relevant information to the presenter.


  • Be typed straight into the text field in Currinda, it is recommended that authors have this text ready.

  • Have a title that is less than 150 characters with spaces.

  • Not exceed 250 words, excluding the title, authors and institutions.

  • Show one presenting author by ticking the appropriate box.

  • Include the first name, surname, e-mail address and affiliation (institution) of all authors separately.

  • Include a succinct overview of the intent and purpose of the presentation in the abstract body text.

  • Only include abbreviations that are written in full the first time.
